Conscious Sounds Collective - Peel Session 1996
もはやハウスミュージックですね ドラムスが 永遠と踊る人はいる
i remember being at a store looking at their lp album cover, almost bought it.
ADVERTS時代から垣間見えたポップセンス!
Not sure why these first two tracks were excluded from the Peel Sessions album, they're top notch.
Captain Sensible is very chaotic. I admit that it took me a while to really appreciate the Damned because of his character. Then, in a moment, I was cured, eheheh.
Is John Peel related to Ema Peel Secret Agent from the 60's in the "Avengers"? The Actress name is Dianna Reed
BRILLIANT I REMEMBER HAVING THIS ON REEL RO REEL TAPE
Because us kids knew were it's at ❤ 😊
what a band
Absolute PERFECTION!
HOLY SHIT! How have I never heard this before?
The pistols and the banshees had a child 🇬🇧👍
I remember this band from Punk Lives magazine but I'd not heard them until now...pretty good.
Did anyone else want to listen to the rest of the show....
A guy i know got a call out from JP in his narrative... Go Sandgrouders...
XXLnt!
haha love the JP preamble here. deserted the boring repetetive peacock display in favour of this. noice
❤
I saw them on the Stiff Tour to Essex Uni in about 1978. The one Elvis Costello bottled out of for some reason... Played pinball all afternoon with two blockheads then saw the gig right at the front in the middle. Tightest band and Ian with charisma to burn. Unforgettable.
Were you biology? Make a brain come back to life like.
Bad man
Is impressive to me they could go from excellent to absolute trash in such a short period. I don't get it and it baffles me
I used to have a cassette tape that I recorded off the radio of this chameleons broadcast session.
Excellent
He looks like the scientist in Indepepndence Day. This is so the sound of 90s evenings. We don't have that mellow rock thing now.
Everyone was at the top of their game here, but Boris was an absolute champion.
"Give my love to Kevin" ... omg so hilariously cringey.
I still prefer the early Buzzcocks.
I have this exact peel sessions on cd! It’s awesome
Pineapple head
Best Peel session ever
When you compare Peel to the current crop of wankers its astpunding he ever got a job on the radio. A greatman. RIO
Must say I like this version of In the City better than the album version.
Forthing this mastank. Poster pieces!
The Very Things are hewn from solid chrome!
Remember recording that session..❤. R.I.P peely..😢
Yeees! Good old Punk! I❤it! Torsten, East Germany! RIP, JOHN!
Gold ❤
Somewhere between Joy Division and Elvis Costello. Phenomenal.
Psychedelic AF, nice hearing Colin rather than Mr C
I think the Nick Cave influence is the thing that stopped this band from carving out it's own identity. A great 50s swampy-twang sound that needed a different sounding vouce on top and more shape added to the songs.
Legendary
I saw crass twice.the first time was Crayford town hall 1980 100skins waiting outside great night apart from the violence and paranoia.2nd time was a year later100 club Oxford street London,Steve ignorant started off by shouting "stand and deliver" as a fuck off to adam.much better gig poison girls were support.
Good to hear the dulcet tones of Uncle John again, and it's a nice change to have little snippets of some of the other music he played on that night. This upload is especially welcome as the earliest Comsat Angels session I had before this was from 1980.
How did the chameleons and the sound never get the success they deserved great bands that stood out musically
🦜
best band ever
Great session, sounds ace, from my home city
Sheffield 🇬🇧
@@davidellis5141 yeah one or two decent bands came out of Sheffield lol
@@melthebell33Cabaret Voltaire were pretty good !
Along with The Chameleons & The Sound one of the best 80's bands to not achieve success.
The Passions, and Sad Lovers and Giants, were even better than those you wrote
Good stuff - Peel always had great taste
Well, what does zinker mean?
If you knew what a 'Winy' is as a small child in England you;d think twice about this band name lol! I mean Eno looks acrogenous enough dont you agree?
